With a kiss, the handsome prince awoke Snow White who had bitten into the poisoned apple. She became Snow WhiteQueen and the wicked witch lost her powers and ended up keeping house for the seven dwarfs. What a happy ending to the most successful production Peachland Players has ever run!  Every performance sold out in advance!

The Musical Play by Carol Weiss, with its cast a mix of child, teen and adults drawn from from West Kelowna and Peachland with meaningful songs and a contemporary script, charmed the audiences. Apart from pleasing the viewers, such a spread of ages does wonders for the bonding of all those in the production, and, especially, the personal development of the children who develop self-confidence, a sense of team play and ease in working with adults.

Over the past 14 years, the company under the inspired direction of Bill Bennett, has performed serious adult drama such as "the Chalk Garden", "Waiting for the Parade" and "Agnes of God", musicals "The Fantastiks" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and comedy such as "Pirates of the Currybean" and now "Snow White"  It is becoming entrenched as a real Peachland and Westside asset. Its versatility is proven by this kind of play and also adult material.

The next productions planned for early 2013 are famed author Noel Coward's spooky English comedy "Blithe Spirit" to be followed by William Inge's "Bus Stop" both of which have appeared as movies as well as live theatre.  The Players' website will announce the performance dates.

Meantime, the Company wishes you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season and thanks you for your support of community theatre.
